Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to Advent Publishing. Those submissions considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the scope and outline of the book are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the book. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

• This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
• This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another press for consideration.
• All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
• All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
• Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Conference proceedings are published as edited volumes, either independently or as part of a dedicated proceedings series, with a single conference potentially yielding multiple volumes. These proceedings compile all full-length, peer-reviewed articles presented at a specific academic meeting, ensuring high scholarly standards. The peer-review process is managed by a reviewing committee appointed by the conference organizers. Typically, final publication is completed within four weeks. Each proceeding is assigned identifiers, including ISBN, ISSN, and Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), to facilitate citation and indexing. Designated members of the organizing committee oversee the review process, author communications, and coordination with publishers, serving as Volume Editors. Articles published in proceedings are considered conference papers, and authors may submit extended versions to peer-reviewed journals, provided the extended work includes up to 30% new content, clearly acknowledges the prior publication in the cover letter, and cites the original conference paper. It is standard practice to publish all accepted articles from an academic meeting as proceedings, which are typically released before the event with hard copies distributed to participants, though post-event publication without hard copies is also an option. Publication fees for proceedings are generally low, making them an economical choice, particularly for open-access formats that provide free access to readers.
